Case panics Naogaon Adivasi conflict victims

Having missing their bread-earners in the May 4 conflict, family members of four Adivasi employees in Naogaon are moving their lifestyle in panic; as cops registered a situation registered by the stated murders against a variety of un-named Adivasi men.

The family members indicated their concerns on Saturday when a band of public activists, such as attorneys, correspondents, and growth activists led by author Syed Abul Maksud from Dhaka, frequented them at Pungi Niboda town in Niamatpur.

Kristina Hembrom, spouse of Ilias Mardi, one of the four murdered, stated that cops registered a situation of the murders, blaming 10-12 un-named Adivasi individuals to reverse their killing situation.

“We are concerned and worrying detain whenever for the case”, she said, in rips. Kristina said she was also nervous about her upcoming with her two kids.

Ilias Mardi, Madan Hembrom, Moharam Marang and Koki Tudu were murdered in a conflict between the followers of two rivaling area entrepreneurs at Chalk Gopal town in Manda upazila, where they went to perform after being employed by Abdul Alim, one of the entrepreneurs.
Abdul Alim has been in feud with one Anwar Hossain over eight bighas of area.
Kristina said Alim employed five Adivasi employees for growing paddy for a amount of Tk 2,500 per bigha a day before the conflict. “Alim's provide was profitable as employees usually perform at Tk 200 per day. Alim said he was having a lack of laborers”.
The widows said they were not conscious that their spouses had been employed.

“I sensed like a secure instantly when I observed of the murder", said Maina Hembrom, spouse of Madan Hembrom. "And now cops are also performing against us”.
The only remaining Adivasi man in the event, Chandi Kisku, was now running house following the situation, they said.

Syed Abul Maksud informed the family members that they would stress the govt for guaranteeing rights.

Noted jurist Lawyer Rafiq-ul Huq, who was also in the band of guests, said producing a situation against other men of the affected individuals was like killing the affected individuals once more.
Asked why cops took the situation against the Adivasi men, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Naogaon YM Belalur Rahman said it was because Anwar Hossain stated that Abdul Alim intentionally desired to collect plants of the area, of which he was the real proprietor.
He said he would ask cops not to frighten or detain the Adivasi men.

The guests' team also involved correspondent Saleem Samad, Bangladesh Adivasi Community message board planning assistant Saktipada Tripura, Dhaka School instructor Robaet Ferdous, and Kapaeeng Foundation's Dipayan Khisa.
